Photos | Mackin, Hugh & Margaret Burns_1874_Marr Certif_10inch Hugh Mackin & Margaret Burns Marriage in 1874 in Cullyhanna RC parish, Co Armagh. Hugh is a "Servant"-most likely a hired Farm Servant. His father is Owen Mackin, a Labourer (thus not a Tenant or Farmer). Margaret is also from Ummeracam, her father Paddy Burns is a Farmer. Witnesses are Michael Mackin & Eleanor McCourt. The Cullyhanna parish entry incorrectly records date of marriage as 30 Dec-should be 03 Dec 1874 as recorded by the Registrar in Crossmaglen (01 Jan 1875) and certified by the Registrar Superintendent on 25 Jan187.. (3rd Dec was a Thursday, 30th was Wednesday. Parish marriage entries occurred on various days of the week). © Crown copyright- https://geni.nidirect.gov.uk/) Keywords: Picture | |
