• Notes

  Like the Hannaway's the McGee's stated on official records (marriage/births) they were from Aughdanove townland. However they lived in Slieve Gullion townland - bordering Aughadanove - through which they would access the road (Longfield Road). In Feb 1920 Denis' mother lists him as a British soldier (see copy of John's military record Army form W.5080). In 1939 he is working as a navvy and living in Manchester, Dennis was single at the time.
