  Janet was probably named in memory of her older sister Janet, born in 1853 but died aged 5 in 1858. Janet was one of 14 children born to Patrick & Bridget. Janet BRANNAN (daughter of Patrick BRANNAN and Bridget THORNTON) was born on 29 Jan 1859 in Neilston. She died on 3 Jul 1905 in Glasgow. Paul Byrnes (Byrnes family in Scotland) records that Janet Brennan/Brannan & Patrick Loyden/Loydon had the following children: i. Elizabeth LOYDEN was born on 6 Sep 1886 in Glasgow. ii.
