    • Aughanduff school 1923-1929/30. Left school aged 15(?) worked at home for 4 years then worked as receptionist for local GP. Following GP family crisis became housekeeper for Parish Priest of Saval parish-newly formed in 1920 ( about 5 miles NE of Newry, near Rathfriland). Worked there until 1942 before marrying in that year. (BYRNES RED BOOK – Nan Martin entries).
