    • In 1889 John McGovern married Annie Stewart in Holywell, Belcoo, Co Fermanagh. John is from Agho, about 6 miles north-west of the church. Annie Stewart, aged 17, lives about 1 mile from the church on a peninsula - Rosscorkey island. Her father James Stewart is the only landholder listed in this tiny townland. Annie's unmarried sister Sarah is living with John McGovern & Annie in the 1901 census in Agho. Their daughter Annie McGovern will later move to USA and marry Francis Hannaway from Slieve Gullion.
      Annie Stewart is identified as the mother of Annie McGovern on Annie's birth records - 21 May 1891, registered on 01 Dec 1891 by her father John McGovern of Aughoo/Agho (townland bordering Leitrim & Fermanagh).
      (Note: 1901 census-the family are recorded as "McGowan", not "McGovern"). In the 1911 census, 12 children were born to John Mcgovern and Annie Stewart - eight children were living at the time.
